Annual General Meeting (SCNI factsheet)

  • Why does a group have an A.G.M?
  • What is the significance of such a meeting?

The A.G.M. is the key to your organisation's year - it is an opportunity to inform the Community of the work that your group has been involved in throughout the year while encouraging more community support and drawing in new committee members with fresh ideas.

Conducting a survey (SCNI)

This factsheet has been produced by Supporting Communities NI.  It is designed for use by community groups, for whom key stakeholders include local residents.

It provides information and a step by step guide to help make the process of conducting surveys easier. It deals specifically with questionnaires as they are by far the most common method used by community groups to collect data.

Openness and accountability

The management committee/board should be open and accountable to stakeholders about its own work and the governance of the organisation.
