The Volunteer Development Agency has developed this site in response to research which indicated that voluntary management committee members needed some form of updateable handbook to support them in carrying out their role.
We have worked with 14 other organisations who have a key role in supporting voluntary management committees of all sizes of groups in order to gather together the best and most authoritative advice and resources available from across the sector and beyond.
Using materials from this site
The DIY Committee Guide provides a wide range of resources for you to use with your own committee or with groups that you support. Unless otherwise stated, there are no copyright restrictions. However, we do ask that you retain on the materials any acknowledgement of the source so that others know where to access further guidance and support.

The Volunteer Development Agency provides support, training and information on volunteering, voluntary management committees, volunteer management and child protection.
