NOS for Trustees and Management Committee Members

These National Occupational Standards (NOS) define good practice in the way management committee members carry out their role.

They can be used:

  • as a benchmark of good practice for individuals;
  • to assist in identifying learning and development needs; and
  • as a tool for performance appraisal.

The National Occupational Standards for Trustees and Management Committee Members (NOS) complement the English Code of Good Governance. While the Code is for boards as a whole, and the organisations they govern, the Trustee Standards are aimed at individual trustees.
