Advice When Uploading Accounts and Reports to Online Services

The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has enhanced the security of Online Services. Following this update, documents submitted to Online Services must not include special characters in their names, eg < > : / \ | ? * ” @ = ‘ ; ` ” ‘

Examples of acceptable documents names are:

Accounts and reports.pdf
Accounts2024.pdf
Independent_examiners_report.pdf
Trustees Report.pdf

This change may cause some charities to experience issues when uploading their accounts and reports as part of submitting their annual return to the Commission. If a “403 Forbidden” error message occurs when trying to upload a document, rename the document in line with the advice above and retry. If the issue persists, email [email protected].

The Commission apologises for any inconvenience this change to enhance online security may cause.
